Great News! Excitement! Excitement!

With the latest release of Victory of the Lamb, the sequel to Way of the Lamb, the story of Christ’s life is now complete. I’m thrilled to share this with you and can’t wait for you to experience the next phase of the journey.

So what should you expect in Victory of the Lamb? Of course, the story that began with Way of the Lamb continues. From the beginning of Yeshua’s ministry and mercurial ascent to notoriety it has not always been easy for him, nor the disciples who are following him. They have been vexed with doubts despite their Master’s deeds of awesome power. It has been two years, and Yeshua remains a mystery to them. He is weak and human one moment, then almighty and divine the next. He marches to an inner guide and never seems to do things the way his followers would have thought. He has led them into unexpected places, and gathered a following of less-than-impressive people. Conflict is escalating both within and without their rankings, and with the powers that rule over the land. Their travels are unpredictable and sometimes dangerous.

After the most recent execution of the Baptizer, all eyes have turned on Yeshua. Now, he has a price on his head. The men wonder when Yeshua will make his move to gain the throne. Instead, he has begun to warn them of his coming crucifixion. They don’t know what to think. They don’t want to believe this, and so, they don’t. Although, they begin to question the mission and the possibility of a future kingdom.

Even so, Yeshua does not relent in his prophecies of the cross, even when the burden of it threatens to undo him.

The disciples face some hard questions:

  • Is he the Messiah they hoped he would be?
  • How can he be so human and yet so clearly divine at the same time?
  • How and when will he rise to power and rule over Israel?
  • Or, if his prophecy comes true, will they be expected to die with him?
  • Who will lead the kingdom then?
